Summer In The City

Hate sweat and melting makeup? If your answer is Yes then here are some tips and tricks for long lasting, melt-proof, fresh face and body you can slay the entire Summer!


Use Protection

Sunscreen, I mean. If you’re heading out in the scorching hot sun, ALWAYS slather on sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 to 50, not just on the face but also the body. This helps protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV radiation avoiding sunburn and long-term skin problems.

Drink Up!

It is necessary that you hydrate your body. Water is the most important and not to mention the most neglected nutrient. It maintains your body temperature at balance, duly metabolize food, reduce skin problems, etc. Make a habit of drinking 8 glasses of water a day or more and your body will thank you later on.


Less is More

If you can go bare-faced, then please feel free to do so. If you’re the type who wears makeup everyday like myself and don’t want the hassle of retouching all day, try wearing less and switch to long lasting makeup.

  1. Use a mattifying primer to keep oil at bay.
  2. Mist your face whenever you need to.
  3. Shift to waterproof, transfer proof, and budge-proof products. (e.g. eyeliner, mascara, lipstick)
  4. Spritz some setting spray to seal it all in.
  5. Keep blotting sheets on hand.

Overall Hygiene

Since it’s summer and for sure you’ll be sweating like a pig, remember to never neglect your personal hygiene. Take a bath, brush your teeth, and wear clean clothes every single day. This is vital not just for health benefits but also for social.
