Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet

Planning new recipes for the kids? Level up the typical “fried” dishes to a foolproof dish that your little picky eaters will absolutely love!

Yield: 4-6 pax


1 kg cream dory cut into squares
oil for frying

1 egg
1/2 c cornstarch
bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste

onion and garlic (minced for sautéing)
500 g tomato sauce
small red and green bell pepper, diced
1 small sachet pineapple tidbits (including juice)
2 tbsp sugar
onion diced
1/2 c water
salt and pepper to taste






1. Whisk egg and cornstarch together. Add salt and pepper. Dip the cream dory fish into the batter and coat with bread crumbs after.

2. Fry the fish in oil for 3-4 minutes each side or until golden brown. Set aside.

3. Sauté onion and garlic, followed by tomato sauce and water.

4. Add pineapple tidbits with juice, red & green bell pepper, and sugar. Simmer for 2 minutes in low heat.

5. Add diced onion, salt and pepper. Drench fish fillet in sauce.

6. Et voila! Ready to serve.
