While cleaning and organizing my vanity, I came across a pile of recent empties and told myself, why not blog about it? So here you go! These are the products I’ve been religiously using for the past few months and they are so well-loved. Which ones will I repurchase and which ones I regret buying? then read on…
One of the cult-favourites and probably the first ever pore primer in the beauty world. I love how it smoothens the face while prepping it for foundation. This primer is no joke. It helps blur out the pores making your skin look as flawless as possible. It also goes well with ANY foundation I’ve tried. With its $31 price tag, I say it’s worth every penny!
Have you ever encountered a product so raved about and was disappointed when you finally tried it for yourself? It’s quickly absorbed by the skin but does it really work? First of, I have combination-oily skin and thought this would be perfect for me because it’s lightweight and the scent is amazing! After using half of this tube, I’m convinced that this DOESN’T DO ANYTHING. I thought moisturizers are meant to hydrate the skin and this one major failed at that department.
A Pinay beauty must-have! I’m very picky when it comes to mascaras and there are only few ones that I like. The HyperCurl is waterproof and smudgeproof, plus it doesn’t weigh your lashes down. The quality for its price is just amazing! This could really pass as high-end mascara and I won’t even bat an eyelash to pay more. Great job, Maybelline!
This is included on my Ride Or Die Tag simply because I can’t live without it. I’ve gone through tube by tube by tube of this concealer and will always repurchase. The coverage is medium to full and it has 28 shades available including their color correctors. And did I mention that it’s just $5? Can’t beat that!
Have you had enough of pen-type liners that has very little product inside? Well, this could be for you. Fashion 21 is a local drugstore brand in the Philippines. I haven’t tried any of their products until I stumbled upon this at Watsons. This claims to be water-resistant and smudgeproof – true. It sells for P135 for 9ml and oh my, that’s a lot! My only issue with this liner is the long brush applicator that I’m having a hard time controlling, other than that, it is a good one!
If you’re a novice to Micellar Water you may read more here. Biore is my first micellar water. I like it even though the amount of product is a bit of a downer. It removes makeup effectively yet leaves a tacky feel afterwards so I still end up washing my face with my regular face cleanser. It’s a good product but I will not repurchase as I have other ones that blows this one out of the water.
I’m drawn to any product that says ‘pores’, can you tell? Anything that can fill, blur, or shrink them is always a Yes for me. I don’t really see a difference on that yet because skincare products takes time. But so far loving this one. It’s so mild that it almost feels like water on the face. It’s gentle even on breakouts, does not sting and it smells fresh. I love it so much, I already have a back-up!
That’s it for my first Empties blog! Now I can finally throw these in the rubbish. HAHA!
