It’s finally here! Drumroll please!
Presenting… Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Master Palette!
A collaboration of ABH x Mario Dedivanovic. If you don’t know yet, Mario is one of the most influential makeup artist of this generation. He does makeup for celebrities including Kim Kardashian-West.
As I’ve mention on my Holiday Wishlist 2016 post, I’ve my eyes glued on this palette. Lucky that I got to place an order before it sold out (no deets on restock yet).
The Master Palette by Mario contains TWELVE gorgeous eyeshadows housed in a sturdy, matte black cardboard, with gold foiled writing. Inside is a fair-sized mirror and a dual-ended brush. These are perfect for daytime wear to night as it features neutral and jewel-toned shades. The names are…
Top row
Hollywood – metallic wheat gold with a satin finish
NYC – rich chocolate brown with a satin finish
Kim – tan with a satin finish
Muse – rose gold with a satin finish
Marina – champagne with a metallic finish
Claudia – slate with a velvet finish
Bottom row
Lula – soft taupe with an ultra-matte finish
Isabel – burnt orange with an ultra-matte finish
Violeta – dark chocolate with an ultra-matte finish
5th Ave – gold leaf with a metallic finish
Bronx – metallic olive with a satin finish
Paris – gilded brown with a satin finish
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates
Color-wise, they’re reminiscent to the Modern Renaissance Palette that they’ve previously released. In comparison, the Modern Renaissance Palette ($42) has 14 eye shadows and the Master Palette ($45) has 12. Each pan weighs 0.02 oz/0.7 g. If you do the Math, you’re actually getting more product on the Modern Renaissance minus the bucks. I’m not sure if it’s because of Mario’s name in it, but most likely is.
One thing I’ve noticed is that it lacks matte lighter shades as overall base like Tempera and Golden Ochre from the Modern Renaissance. The lightest shade in this palette is Hollywood which is a shimmer. Other than that, I love the quality and pigmentation of these. They’re velvety soft, rich in pigment with minimal fallouts, and they blend like a dream. Gotta hand it to Anastasia Beverly Hills for another job well done!
Overall, if you’re a fan of neutrals (who isn’t??), then I highly recommend getting this palette. You might want to be quick on the next restock as it is limited edition and they sell out like hot cakes!
You know the drill; if you have questions, feel free to ask them in the comments and I would gladly assist you.
Cheers,
The palette is beautiful! I love it!
